How's your embrace of people? How's mine?
Our culture is ultra social and ultra lonely. This saddens me deeply and is causing me to ache for genuine community - for the Church to be about the embrace of people for Jesus' sake. I've got a long way to go.

Phil, you certainly hit the nail right on the head. We are all too often focused on programs and not developing the relationship. We need to be willing to meet people where they are. We are too intent on getting them in the building.

Right on Phil! For generations, the church has been considered [a building] and the "successful" chuches have filled their buildings. Things have changed! It's a huge "shift" for people to focus on meeting sinners on their turf and building relationships. Perhaps we leaders need to "model" it more!
